Alpacatrax specializes in quality alpaca fiber for local artisans who appreciate working with fine raw fleece, roved fiber, and spun, minimally processed, natural yarns. During the autumn months and holiday season, we participate in several, well-known farmers markets in Westchester, Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia Counties. All our alpaca finished products are made from our farm-raised alpaca herd, now in its second and third generations including adopted animals from our region needing a good home. Our fleeces are not treated chemically nor have they been bleached or dyed. Along with our alpaca in its natural colors and varied weights from fingerling to worsted, our Cormo sheep wool takes natural or vegetable dyes beautifully and is a wonderful blend with our naturally-colored alpaca in grays, browns, black and bay black and vanilla. Yarns, roving, fleece and a variety of locally crafted alpaca finished products are available most of the year.

Sales support family farming initiatives, regional agricultural land protection and its natural resources, as well as fiber artisans who love what they do.
